After the initial rollout, Micromat released version 16.0.2 to fix inconsistent Battery status errors for the Power tab in Techtool Monitor, add iPhone 14 series support to the Battery Check test, add new Apple silicon processor models to the Processor Check tool, update eDrive to qualify variations of APFS volumes, update the Video Geometry tool to recognize the Apple Studio Display, and add French, German, Italian, Japanese and Chinese (Simplified) localizations to Techtool Monitor. Techtool Pro 16 costs $159.99, and users of previous versions can enter their serial numbers to upgrade at a discounted price. ($159.99 new, upgrade pricing available, release notes, macOS 10.11+)

My only problem with TechTool was that is would only be guaranteed for the current OS and the moment you upgraded to the next whole number version, a disclaimer would come up saying it may not be safe to use. I upgraded one year and they changed the version with and I was not able to use it. Stopped using it in 2019, though I found it helpful, especially the eDrive.

It seems like every time Apple updates the OS, Micromat charges for an update or upgrade to TT Pro. I've paid for two updates since my original purchase was compatible with OS 10.4 and now they want to charge again to update because I've gone to 10.6. Since OS X has become so stable, I'm wondering if there is still a need for TT Pro or Disk Warrior. I've already invested almost $150 in TT Pro alone. I know the diagnostics are very robust, etc. But, I'm tired of paying for each update/upgrade...and even then one has to jump thru hoops because MIcromat ineviatably doesn't recognize ones original serial number or registration.

Apple has informed its official retail stores, AppleCare employees, and authorized resellers that a small number of third-generation Apple TV units have WiFi issues. These issues surround not being able to locate a WiFi network, unable to join a network, and dropped or intermittent connections.

Apple has determined that a very small number of Apple TV (3rd generation) products might experience one of these Wi-Fi related connectivity issues: Cannot locate network, Unable to join network, Dropped or intermittent connection.

Apple, which works with suppliers to test new designs all the time, has been testing various TV prototypes for a number of years, according to people familiar with the efforts. The company generally tests and develops products internally before doing so with outside suppliers.
